Dunkin’ Donuts Just Revealed the Girl Scouts–Inspired Coffee of Our Dreams

ICYMI, it’s the best time of year: Girl Scout cookie season. And in honor of the occasion, Dunkin’ Donuts just revealed the Girl Scouts–inspired menu of our dreams.

From now until May, the national chain will offer three new flavors of coffee: Thin Mint, Coconut Caramel and Peanut Butter Cookie. You can try the lineup in hot, iced and frozen coffee; macchiatos; lattes; and frozen chocolate. (Because the only thing better than coffee and a doughnut is cookie-flavored coffee and a doughnut.)

My Little Pony Is Bringing Back the O.G. Team for Its 35th Birthday

The time has come for you to finally break open that piggy bank and scrounge up your allowance, because the girls are back! The original My Little Ponies, to be exact. To celebrate the magical ponies’ 35th birthday, the first six are coming together once more for a special collectors edition.

Minty, Blue Bell, Butterscotch, Snuzzle, Blossom and Cotton Candy had their coats brushed and their hair freshly colored for their reunion tour, and we could not be more excited. While they don’t look exactly the same as when they first hit the scene (hey, do you look the same as you did 35 years ago?), each pony does still come with her very own ribbon and comb.

The ponies cost $10 each and are available for purchase only in stores, so we suggest calmly driving running like the wind to your nearest Target or Toys “R” Us, ASAP.

Doctors Confirm Period Cramps Are as Painful as a Heart Attack

One week out of every month, you can find us eating everything in sight and cursing to the gods above while doubled over in pain. Yep, menstrual cycles suck, and every woman post-puberty and premenopause will agree.

So it’s pretty crazy that we’re living in a world where, even though roughly half the population experiences the phenomenon, no one really talks about it. Finally, however, we have proof that we’re not just “being dramatic.”

John Guillebaud, a professor of reproductive health at University College London, told Quartz that patients have described severe cramps, called dysmenorrhea (the fancy medical word for menstrual pain), as “almost as bad as having a heart attack.” Yeah, ibuprofen just isn’t gonna cut it.

Thanks, doc, for finally recognizing the struggle. Now if only we could get the dudes in our life to do the same.

This Business Idea Was Rejected on ‘Shark Tank’ but Is Now Worth $1 Billion

Calling all budding entrepreneurs—don’t let the haters get you down. That’s the lesson Ring CEO and founder Jamie Siminoff learned after his initial business proposal was rejected by the Shark Tank investors.

According to Reuters, Siminoff’s video-doorbell business is now valued at $1 billion and is being bought by Amazon. Talk about a win.

Appearing on the reality show back in 2013, Siminoff’s idea (then called Doorbot) was rejected by all of the investors except for Kevin O’Leary who made what Siminoff considered to be a bad offer.

But fast-forward five years later, and the company now employs more than 1,000 people and counts Richard Branson as one of its investors. Not too shabby.

Apparently, Ring’s security devices could work well with Amazon Key, a lock and camera system that users can control remotely in order to let couriers deliver goods directly into their homes.

Moral of the story: Don’t give up on your dreams. (Especially the ones that could make you a billionaire.)

Starbucks Is Opening 1,000 Stores That Will Serve Cocktails, So…Meet You There?

Quick! You can only pick one to have for the rest of your life:

A. Coffee
B. Cocktails

Hard call, right? We know, which is why we’re super grateful for Starbucks’s latest innovation: Starbucks Reserve

Part-coffee shop, part-cocktail bar, the first location opened this week inside the chain’s Seattle headquarters, and there are plans to open 1,000 more worldwide. (Yes…1,000.)

Per The Seattle Times, the first Reserve is big—as in four times the size of a normal location—and features a bakery counter, a full liquor bar and a coffee bar, along with tables, lounge areas and two fireplaces. Fancy.

No word yet on when (or where) the next Reserve stores will pop up, but we’ll be waiting with bated breath.

Guys, You Can Actually Make Your Own Wine in an Instant Pot

You already love the seven-in-one multitasking machine for its ability to whip up delicious meals in record time, but now one genius blogger has discovered yet another reason to make the Instant Pot a permanent fixture on your kitchen surface.

Instant Pot home chef David Murphy recently revealed that he made his own red wine in his favorite appliance. As in, he actually converted grape juice into an alcoholic beverage.

“It’s not as hard as you might think it is to make Instant Pot wine, but it does take a little bit of patience,” he says.

How much patience? About 48 hours of cooking time plus another week out of the pot, according to his instructions. Which, when you think about it, is a lot less time to make wine than that 2014 New Zealand sauvignon blanc you’re so fond of.

To make your own Instant Pot wine, you’ll need grape juice, sugar and a packet of wine yeast. By using the Yogurt feature on your Instant Pot (and a few other tips that Murphy relays in his blog), you can apparently transform those ingredients into a wine with “hints of chocolate and dark cherries.”

We haven’t tried the recipe out ourselves but we’re definitely intrigued. And considering that we already think of our trusty Instant Pot as being pretty damn magical, we wouldn’t be surprised if this was totally delicious. Cheers.

Right after the home reveal, Brooks proposed to his girlfriend while Chip and Jo looked on. Talk about a magical moment.

The couple met when Brooks returned from Afghanistan after losing his leg in an explosion. You Have to Read What Meghan Markle Just Said About #MeToo and Time’s Up

Another day, another thing to add to the list of reasons we love Meghan Markle

Speaking alongside Kate Middleton and Princes Harry and William, Markle didn’t mince words when discussing Time’sUp and the #MeToo movement

“I hear a lot of people speaking about girls’ empowerment and women’s empowerment—you will hear people saying they are helping women find their voices,” she said. “I fundamentally disagree with that, because women don’t need to find their voices, they need to be empowered to use it, and people need to be urged to listen.”

Despite the royal family’s typical avoidance of political issues, Markle doubled down. “Right now, with so many campaigns like #MeToo and Time’s Up, there’s no better time to continue to shine a light on women feeling empowered and people supporting them,” she added.

To that we say yas, kween Duchess

Kristen Bell Is Fangirling Over This Grain-Free Pasta (and We’re Totally with Her)

Kristen Bell just proved that it’s A-OK to fangirl over a box of pasta.

The longtime vegetarian posted a video on Instagram, gushing over the personalized gift she received from Banza, a brand that specializes in high-protein pasta made from—wait for it—chickpeas. (Bonus: It’s, like, really good.)

In the clip, Bell explains that she wrote a letter to the company thanking them for their products. The 37-year-old then flaunts a customized box of pasta they sent to their “fave movie star” in return.

Well done, Banza. Next, we think your fave movie star would really love some sloth-shaped pasta.
